Hampton
University Convocation Center is the site of the Crabbaganza 2001 Saturday
Evening Gala, June 30, 2001. Approximately 200 Crabbers attended this
spectacular first-ever event celebrating 105 years of Hampton High graduates.
The
Big Night finally arrives. Turner Spencer, City of Hampton Vice-Mayor,
proclaims June 30, 2001, officially The First Hampton High All Alumni
Reunion. Committee president, Barbara Shelton Marko (65) accepts the proclamation
while emcee A.W. "Pat" Patrick (69) looks on.
Four-star
general John P. Jumper, Class of 62 (Crabbaganza 2001 special guest speaker)
and Crabbaganza committee president, Barbara Marko, chat at dinner. General
Jumper's interesting and appropriate remarks paralleled events during
Hampton High's 105 years of graduates with world events. (Read

The
Fabulous Hubcaps proved to be just that! With costume changes and musical
skits, they kept Crabbers and their guests entertained the entire evening
as Tina Turner, Janis Joplin and others.
